oftentimes (adv.)

"many times, frequently," late 14c. as two words, early 15c. as one, an extended form of often, with adverbial genitive -s. Earlier was often-tide (mid-14c.); oft-times is from mid-14c. Middle English had also ofte-sithes, from Old English oft-siþas.
